STONELEIGH Male Voice Choir
A new MD for Stoneleigh MVC
We are looking to appoint a MD to take over and direct the Stoneleigh Male Voice Choir.
The SMVC was formed in 1989 and since then has become a community choir well known in the area. We have a membership of 30 and sing a variety of light music and have a repertoire of over 400 songs which we sing with and without books. The choir sings 4 part harmony. Some of our members are sight readers whilst the majority learn their parts at our weekly Wednesday evening rehearsals held in Stoneleigh Village Hall.
At present we hold 3 main events.
a. A show/revue in March usually at the Village Hall, Stoneleigh
b. The Summer Serenade, an outdoor concert early in July.
c. A Christmas Concert at Stoneleigh Abbey stables in early December.
We also hold concerts at a number of different venues throughout the year.
The MD is expected to prepare material for our weekly practices.

EDINBURGH Telephone Choir (The)
Musical Director Wanted
The Edinburgh Telephone Choir (registered charity SCO43195), which has been a well-established institution for over 75 years, is actively seeking a new Musical Director to lead the choir from 2024.
We are a well organised SATB choir currently numbering 36 singers. Our repertoire typically ranges from show tunes and pop arrangements to light classical, traditional music and Christmas numbers, usually with piano accompaniment.
We hold an annual show over three days in the Church Hill Theatre in Edinburgh. We also usually perform two Christmas concerts, one of which is a long-standing partnership with a local charity.
We rehearse in central Edinburgh, meeting weekly on Monday evenings from September to late April or early May.

CRAWLEY DOWN Ladies Choir
Musical Director for Crawley Down Ladies Choir
We need a new Musical Director for our choir.
Following the decision of our long-standing Musical Director (MD) to retire after our June concert this year, the Crawley Down Ladies Choir (CDLC) is seeking a replacement MD commencing September 2024 if possible.
CDLC is a community choir, serving our local area and has been in existence for over 50 years. We meet at the Haven Centre in Crawley Down, currently hold 2 concerts a year and perform at other events in and around the village.
